Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong has revealed how his team will approach their international friendly tie with Russia in Moscow on Friday evening.

Speaking during a press event hosted by the Russian Football Union on Thursday, Troost-Ekong said the Super Eagles will approach the Russia game by combining different styles against the hosts.

The former Watford defender said: “I don’t know how much I can reveal our game plan, because the head coach is here.

“Tomorrow we will try to combine different styles – we have an understanding of how to act.

“We have been working with the coach only since the beginning of the year, and this match is a good chance to make our team stronger and continue progressing.

“There are new players in the squad – this is a great opportunity for them to show how they meet the expectations of the coaching staff.”;

Nigeria’s last match was last Sunday against Jamaica in the 2025 Unity Cup.

Eric Chelle’s side won the encounter, thanks to a 5-4 win via penalty shoot-out following a 2-2 draw in normal time.
