RUSSIA has threatened to strike UK military sites after Britain handed over key weapon technology to Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin’s stark warning comes after Andy Burnham gave missile blueprints to Volodymyr Zelensky in the latest show of support for Kyiv.

The Kremlin warned the UK, France and Germany were “playing with fire” following Britain’s provision of plans for long-range Storm Shadow missiles.

Moscow declared it would hit back by striking UK military sites in Ukraine and elsewhere, according to Russian media.

Russia’s foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said: “It’s clear that by transferring so-called assembly functions to the Ukrainians, London and Paris are frantically trying to absolve themselves of responsibility for carrying out strikes deep into our country’s territory.

“It won’t work. You in Paris, London, Berlin, and other capitals bear direct responsibility for participating in terrorist attacks.”

She accused the European allies of “fuelling and stoking the Ukrainian crisis”.

And Putin puppet added: “Those in the west who make and implement these decisions must know that they are playing with fire.

“The consequences could be completely unpredictable.”

It comes after raging Putin accused Britain of “participating” in the war for handing over long-range missile blueprints earlier this week.

Burnham announced the decision during his first visit to Kyiv as Prime Minister to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day alongside President Zelensky.
