RUSSELL Brand forced a woman to take pictures of him wearing “budgie smugglers” before he allegedly raped her in a hotel room, a court heard.

Brand, 51, is accused of and kissing and groping them in an “obsessive” campaign to sleep with 5,000 women.

He allegedly between 1999 and 2009 in a bid to satisfy his “voracious” sexual appetite.

Some of his accusers claim he laughed at them after they had tried to repel his advances, while members of his entourage have been accused of failing to step in to stop him.

One of the alleged victims, who was pinned down and raped in a hotel after a Labour Party conference in Bournemouth in 1999, told police she believed Brand was “gay” at first.

She said Brand took his top off in the hotel room but was “not naked fully”.

The woman added: “He had his trousers or shorts on, I think shorts or pants – I don’t know what you call them, budgie smugglers, tiny shorts, like briefs.”

She said she was “taken aback” and “shocked” as Brand was “prancing around” and “sitting on the bed”.

The woman added: “I froze a bit, I’m like ‘why have you taken your clothes off?’

“And he was like ‘it’s OK, its just how I am, don’t worry…. I’m mostly naked at home’.”

She also claimed he emerged topless from the toilet and “was prancing around the room, a bit like an ostrich, doing silly walks like Basil Fawlty”.

The alleged victim told police she remembers feeling “frightened” after Brand forced her to take pictures of him on her camera before allegedly raping her.

She added: “I took pictures of him on my camera – he made me take them.

“I was frightened. I remember feeling ‘what on earth have I got myself into’ – and then he did rape me.

“He pushed me onto the bed. He did take my trousers off.”

The court heard Brand told the alleged victim he “had to get back to his mum” following the incident.

Jurors heard he told a pal the following day they needed to urgently vacate the flat they had been staying at in Bournemouth.

He later said that “things got a little bit heated and a little bit out of hand, and he thinks that maybe he did go a little bit too far”, jurors heard.

Prosecutor Riel Karmy-Jones KC yesterday dubbed the comedian a “sexual predator” who was “ruthless, calculated and manipulative”.

She also said women have told he was “childlike in his expectation that his every desire should be met”.

The court heard the alleged offences took place when Brand’s “public profile was taking off”.

He allegedly prayed on women in a number of locations – including workplaces, a toilet cubicle in a bar and at his home address.

Another complainant, who worked at at the time of the alleged incident in 2001, said she was showing Brand the toilets when he grabbed her by the arm.

The court was told he beckoned her into the toilets with a “desperate wild-eyed look on his face”.

She managed to pull herself away, and to release his grasp, it was claimed.

Jurors heard he also allegedly “lunged” at a woman and grabbed her breasts when they were talking about in a Soho bar in July 2004.

Prosecutors allege the comedian had a “big, weird grin” on his face.

The woman says Brand “quite strongly” pulled her into the toilet and orally raped her, despite her saying “I don’t want to do this”.

The prosecutor told jurors: “He just said ‘Oh come on don’t be a spoil sport, you want to’ or something along those lines”.

The fourth alleged victim was in her 20s and working at a radio station in 2004 or 2005 when Brand allegedly sexually assaulted her after she had left a room at work.

Jurors heard he then kissed her “sloppily and aggressively” and also allegedly grabbed at her body, her breasts, sides and buttocks in a “rough, fast and frenzied” way.

The woman said she looked to members of Brand’s entourage, “hoping they would intervene”, but she claims they took no action.

Brand apologised to one of the women after she told him he treated her “like an animal” during an alleged rape, the court was told.

The fifth alleged victim met Brand after seeing his show at the Hammersmith Apollo in London with a friend in 2009.

He allegedly told her his age range was from “16 to death” before she was invited to a backstage bar where they kissed and had a threesome.

The woman claims she went to his home the next day where Brand told her: “Your hair smells funny”.

He then made her take a shower and wash her hair while he watched through a glass shower cubicle, it was said.

Ms Karmy-Jones said once in the bedroom, they had consensual sex but afterwards Brand “flipped” the woman on to her front and on all fours and allegedly penetrated her anally.

Afterwards, jurors heard the comedian told her to “clean up the mess you have made”.

The sixth woman worked for when she met Brand while he was filming a project.

She said she was informed Brand was “unhappy” and the situation would not improve unless she gave him a massage, jurors were told.

The woman claimed he walked up to a chair she was sitting on and placed his head directly into her groin area.

Brand has denied three counts of rape, three of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault against six women.

The trial continues.
