men lost out 2-1 at the Etihad as the title race took another major twist with City now leading the way on goals scored, with both sides locked on points and goal difference.
But during the game, Gabriel avoided a red card after a headbutt on star man and matchwinner Haaland.
The not to send the Arsenal man down the tunnel after a physical battle between the pair throughout the contest hit a sour note.
The talking point happened seven minutes before the end of the match, when the stopper brought his rival down to the ground in the middle of the pitch.
was fuming and proceeded to push the Brazil international away with quite a bit of force.
The visiting defender then appeared to push Haaland away with his head, with City players insisting he should have been sent off as they saw it as a headbutt.
However, the referee and VAR would have none of it despite the hosts’ protests, with both players getting booked for their part in the melee.
Haaland stayed on his feet at the incident and that meant he wouldn’t go down.
And as the panel discussed the incident involving the “old school” striker, Keane was quick to add his own quip to the conversation and in the process aim a dig towards Erling’s dad.
Roy commented: “His dad would have gone down. I am sure of it. Sorry.”
Host Neville jumped in, and stated: “We’ll have to get our lawyers in, it didn’t go well last time.”
His cheeky pop stems from the personal rivalry between the pair from one of the most famous feuds in football.
It all started in 1997 when Alfie accused Keane of diving when he had in fact torn his ACL.
Four years later, Keane took his revenge with a knee high tackle that earned him a red card and effectively ended Alfie’s career.
He never properly recovered from the challenge and after a couple of failed comeback attempts, he was forced to hang up his boots for good.
