Heartwarming Moment: Rory McIlroy's Five-Year-Old Daughter Reacts with a Facepalm to His Awkward Masters Comment

RORY MCILROY embraced the role of embarrassing dad to daughter Poppy after his Masters triumph.

Five-year-old Poppy, wife Erica Stoll and parents Gerry and Rosie watched on proudly as delivered his victory speech on Sunday.

And Poppy adorably covered her face in embarrassment after McIlroy’s playful comment.

He said: “This has definitely turned into Poppy’s favourite week of the year.

“I don’t know if it’s because of the Par-3 Tournament or the all-you-can-eat ice cream in the Player Services Building!”

Poppy was the first family member to hug McIlroy after he sealed back-to-back titles.

With his sixth major in the bag, McIlroy gave wife Erica a big kiss and paid an to his parents.

He then posed for family pictures in his second Green Jacket, just 12 months after he picked up his first.

But McIlroy filed for divorce in 2024 after claiming that the marriage was ““.

Only weeks later, however, the divorce petition was dismissed.

McIlroy said at the time: “Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realised that our best future was as a family together.

“Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning.”

The pair reconciled in time for McIlroy to enjoy two of the finest moments of his career.

He, Erica and Poppy celebrated on the 18th green at Augusta last year, when he snapped his 11-year major drought and completed the Career Grand Slam.

And they were a happy family again at the weekend when McIlroy made it two in a row.
