RONNIE O’SULLIVAN has shared how a remark from a 12-time snooker champion has significantly improved his game.
The Rocket faced challenges throughout much of the last season, withdrawing from several tournaments before making it to the semi-finals.

He altered his cue tip and technique in an attempt to regain his best form but faced a setback at the Crucible.
However, his performance has gradually improved, culminating in a runner-up finish at the Saudi Masters, where he achieved his first two 147 breaks in six years.
O’Sullivan disclosed that a conversation with women’s world champion Reanne Evans played a pivotal role in helping him get back on track, as she identified a detrimental change he had made to his game.
O’Sullivan recounted to the Metro : “Reanne Evans approached me a year ago and said, ‘you’re not the player you used to be.’ I was taken aback and asked, ‘what do you mean?’
“She explained, ‘well, you know, blah, blah, blah,’ and while I found it interesting, I didn’t really give it much thought at that time.
“Then at Sheffield, she reiterated, ‘yeah, you used to do this, you used to do that.’ I thought, really?
“I began watching old videos, and I realized it wasn’t just about technique; it was more about my overall approach to the shot and related aspects. She was correct, and it was eye-opening!
“I’ve been working on unlearning those habits. It’s challenging, but I believe I’m on the right path, dedicating all my time to snooker, which has improved my practice sessions.
“I feel motivated to participate in tournaments; I wish I could have played in Brentwood or Wuhan.
“I want to compete in all of them because I’m truly enjoying the game, which is fantastic.”
