and launches on Monday.

The channel will be freely available through Pluto TV, an ad-supported streaming service.

The project is being spearheaded by Jason Francis, a snooker producer who previously worked in staging children’s theatre across the globe.

Programming will include a coaching masterclass from O’Sullivan called ‘The Rocket Method,’ alongside a new, fast-paced format of the sport called Snooker 900.

This new take on the game has been condensed into a frenetic 15-minute package designed to be a “high-octane” alternative built to suit the modern streaming landscape.

O’Sullivan claimed the new channel will help bring up-and-coming talent to the national stage, and will open new doors for players from all walks of life.

He said: “Snooker has been my whole life, but sometimes I look around and wonder where the next bright, young superstar is going to come from.

“Young players don’t always get the chance to play under the lights or in front of the cameras, and that’s why Snooker 900 is so important.

“This channel gives them a proper stage, whether it’s women, juniors or disabled players, and puts real money back into the amateur game.

“For me, it’s about giving back and helping to inspire the next generation while showing fans a faster, more exciting way to enjoy the sport.”
