Al-Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has been named the highest-earning athlete for 2024.
Ronaldo is ranked ahead of his eternal rival, Lionel Messi, who is third on the list, according to The Sun.
The 40-year-old is reported to have banked £192.40 million, almost double Messi’s total of £99.90m.
Golfer Jon Rahm is second on the list with £161.32m.
The top 10 includes footballers Kylian Mbappe ranking 6th at £81.4m, Neymar, 7th, £79.92m, Karim Benzema at 8th with £78.44m, NBA icons LeBron James at number 4th, £94.87m and Steph Curry, number 9 at £75.38m.
This is the second consecutive year that Ronaldo has been named as the world’s highest-earning athlete, having been named of Forbes’ list in 2023.
The rankings reflect not only salary and winnings but brand deals and endorsements off the pitch in addition.
