CRISTIANO RONALDO and Lionel Messi could be set to play together on the same team for the first time ever.

But now reports out of claim that the pair could finally be set to play alongside each other, under surprising circumstances.

The stars could be reunited for the testimonial match of their former team-mate .

The 42-year-old retired in 2021 while playing for , his boyhood club with whom he started his career.

But TYC Sports claim that Tevez has arranged to loan the side’s 57,000-capacity La Bombonera stadium to host a farewell match to bookend his relationship with the club.

A provisional date for some time in December has been targeted for the fixture, with Tevez having ambitious plans to create a memorable clash of some of the sport’s biggest names.

Tevez hopes to field a starting XI comprising his closest friends from both his professional and personal lives.

While the opposition would feature players that he teamed up with at various points in his career.
