ROBIN VAN PERSIE has reportedly been given the boot by Feyenoord just weeks after bagging Champions League qualification.

And, in his first full season at the helm, Van Persie guided Feyenoord to a second place finish in the Eredivisie.
But VI report the former Manchester United and Arsenal striker has been SACKED.
It has been suggested general manager Robert Eenhoorn and technical director Devy Rigaux felt they needed to act.

Van Persie made a host of controversial decisions at De Kuip and also clashed with Quinten Timber, the brother of Arsenal’s title-winning defender Jurrien.

Van Persie guided Feyenoord to 30 wins during his 58-match reign, suffering 19 losses along the way.
He also gave his son Shaqueel during a Europa League defeat to Celtic last November.
The Dutchman had a brief spell in charge of Heerenveen before being lured back to Feyenoord last year.
Van Persie initially earned his managerial stripes within the Rotterdam-based giants’ youth set-up after hanging up his boots.
He was also a technical coach while Arne Slot, who was last month, was in the hotseat.
