The 60-year-old Italian, who has been out of work for the past year, has shared with friends that he believes he could have a chance if the Red Devils decide to make a change.

He has a residence in the South of France and is thought to have met the Ineos magnate at various social events.

His resume remains impressive; in addition to his trophies at the Etihad, he also achieved success with the Italian national team.

However, it’s difficult to envision him switching from blue to red and taking the helm at Old Trafford.

He remains a beloved figure among some fans after ending their 34-year trophy drought in 2011 and subsequently leading them to title glory the following year.

Some supporters who traveled to Monaco for the match earlier this month were thrilled to encounter him on the day of the game.

Mancini was let go by Manchester City in 2013 after managing 191 games.

During his tenure at the Etihad Stadium, he recorded 113 wins and only 40 losses.

Since then, the Italian has managed Galatasaray, Inter Milan, Zenit Saint Petersburg, Italy, and the Saudi Arabia national team.

Mancini is not the only manager being discussed in connection with the Manchester United job.
