RICKY HATTON’s son has shared that the boxing icon seemed to be in a positive state of mind prior to his tragic passing last month.
A celebration of the life of ‘The People’s Champion’ was held in his hometown of Manchester.

However, his son Campbell, 24, remarked that his father had been at his best in the months leading up to his passing, which made the sudden loss even more shocking for the grieving family.
He opened up about life after his father's passing in an emotional interview with The Times .
He stated: “He was the best any of us had ever seen him. He had matured with age. He wasn’t going out on wild drinking sprees.
“He was spending a lot of time with his daughters (Millie, 13, and Fearne, 12) and Lyla (Campbell’s daughter, 7).
“He was very busy with activities at the gym. He had many things to look forward to.
“If he had been in a dark place, it would have been just as heartbreaking, but it wouldn’t have been as shocking.”
His passing occurred on September 14th.
The news surfaced just weeks after the boxer’s death.
