THIS is the awkward moment Richard Madeley was kicked out of an El Salvador jail “within 15 minutes,” in his new Channel 5 documentary.
, Inside the World’s Mega Prison, went off-piste when he joined 3,000 shaven-headed inmates including gang members, rapists and terrorists in the jail.

While, Richard managed to ruffle the feathers of the prison director, Belarmino Garcia.
He was quickly booted from the compound after stepping on Garcia’s toes with his line of questioning.
The former presenter probed the prison director on the inmates living conditions – something he was clearly not prepared to discuss.
that the convicts have “absolutely nothing whatsoever to do” while wasting the day away in their tiny cells, which average at 0.6 square meters per inmates, for 23 and a half hours a day.
was soon ordered into a side room where he was told to cease questioning the conditions.
He said: “The pace suddenly quickens so perhaps asking about conditions here is pushing to far. I think I may have overstepped the mark.”

The guard replied: “I imagine the culture where you come from is different.”
Richard was then firmly told to stop filming.
Garcia looked far from impressed by the situation and fans were quick to point out Richard’s mishap.
One fan penned: “Only could be booted out of a mega jail after 15 minutes.”
Another viewer wrote: “He’s the real life Alan Partridge. I can’t watch/ listen to him. He makes me cringe.”
A third fan said: “Richard Madeley looks to be the new Louis Theroux, he should’ve brought Judy along for good measure.”
Studying, visitation and going outside inare strictly prohibited: the dinning hall, break rooms, gym, books and board games are reserved for the guards only.
The prisoners are forced to wear only boxer shorts with their heads shaved and the lights are always switched on.
Before he was sensationally thrown out of the dangerous prison, Richard joined those locked up for a quick bite to eat.
He was seen eating rice, beans and tortillas for dinner and later pointed out the lack of cutlery and green vegetables – which was another comment that irked the prison boss.
