“Resident Playbook”; has unveiled a glimpse into the delightful off-camera moments of the cast!
A spin-off of the hit series “Hospital Playlist,”; tvN’s “Resident Playbook”; is a new drama depicting the realistic and relatable hospital lives, growth, and heartwarming friendships of residents at the Jongro branch of Yulje Medical Center.
Starring as the first-year OB-GYN residents, Go Youn Jung, Shin Si Ah, Kang You Seok, and Han Ye Ji light up the set with their bright smiles and infectious energy. Posing together with cheerful V-signs, they radiate the warm, lively atmosphere of the drama’s filming site.
Meanwhile, Jung Joon Won, who plays dependable fourth-year resident Gu Do Won, shows his dedication as he discusses blocking and hand placement with the team before a shoot. Go Youn Jung is also seen beaming with a smile as she goes over the script with staff, hinting at the care and effort the cast pours into each scene.
The patients featured in“Resident Playbook”;play an equally crucial role in shaping the residents’ emotional journeys. In Episode 8, Park Sung Yeon delivered a moving performance as the mother of Pyo Nam Kyung (Shin Si Ah), capturing the audience’s hearts with a quiet display of maternal love. Off-camera, the two actresses share a sweet hand-heart pose, reinforcing their touching on-screen bond.
Adding even more excitement are the surprise guest appearances from beloved “Hospital Playlist”; characters. Jung Kyung Ho returns as the stern cardiothoracic surgeon Kim Jun Wan, Ahn Eun Jin returns as Chu Min Ha—who became an inspiring mentor to Oh Yi Young (Go Youn Jung)—and Yoo Yeon Seok reprises his role as the compassionate pediatric surgeon Ahn Jeong Won.
Familiar faces like Kim Jun Han and Kwak Sun Young also return, creating memorable moments with Shin Si Ah and Cha Kang Yoon. Meanwhile, Kang You Seok and Shin Hyun Been, who portray a student and his former teacher—and first love—flash playful smiles.
