Rep Celebrates Abiodun and Ogun Residents with a Musical Tribute for Gateway Airport's Flight Launch

The representative for Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East Federal Constituency, Hon. Olufemi Adeleke Ogunbanwo (OMO-IWA), has celebrated with the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, and all residents of Ogun State on the launch of commercial flights from Gateway International Airport, Iperu, on Tuesday.

Ogunbanwo, who was on board the inaugural flight that departed from Iperu at 9:42 AM, praised this significant achievement and expressed his happiness that it coincided with his birthday.

Recently, Gateway International Airport received an exceptional level of certification from aviation authorities.

The federal lawmaker recalled that at the beginning of Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration in 2019, the current location of Gateway International Airport was a dumping ground and a site for pig farming.

He expressed pride that the airport, which began construction during the first term of the current administration, while he served as a Hon. Commissioner in the state, has been recognized as one of the finest airports in Africa.
