Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Garcia names football idol

Real Madrid attacker, Gonzalo Garcia has named Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo as his football idol.

Garcia spoke after leading Real Madrid to beat Juventus 1-0 in the FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 tie on Tuesday night.

Recall that a second half goal from the 21-year-old attacker ensured Xabi Alonso’s side defeated the Serie A giants.

Real Madrid will now face Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-final stage.

Speaking during the post-match interview, Garcia said: “I’ve always said that my idol is Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I have had several role models throughout my career, but if I had to choose one, it is Cristiano. Always.”;

Ronaldo, who is 40 years old, currently plays for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro Lig.
