Real Madrid ask LaLiga to postpone their first game of new season

Real Madrid have officially requested the postponement of their first LaLiga game of the new 2025/26 season.

As reported by Madrid Xtra (via @carrusel), the Los Blancos, Osasuna and the RFEF all agree to set the match on October 29.

The report added that LaLiga will now have to make a decision regarding Real Madrid’s request.

Recall that the LaLiga had some some days ago for the new 2025/26 season.

Xabi Alonso’s men will take on Osasuna in the LaLiga match-day one tie at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The match is expected to take place on Tuesday, 19 August, 2025.

DAILY POST reports that the new LaLiga season will kick off on Friday, 15 August, and will run until Sunday, 24 May 2026.
