BLACK Cab Rapist John Worboys’ creepy portrayal in a haunting true crime TV drama has sent shivers down spines across the nation.
The depravity of the monster who posed as a cheeky chappie to drug and attack more than 100 women was laid bare in the ITV series Believe Me. But the beast honed his lust for power over women while performing as a male stripper in pubs and clubs before his vile spree.

And innocent revellers spoke for the first time of their shock at having the fiend’s naked body pressed against them at bawdy birthday bashes.
Disturbing new pictures – released to The Sun today for the first time – show full-frontal cavorting with cheering women at two birthday bashes.
Partygoers who watched his “fun” act at a pub in Aldershot, Hants, told how the grinning poser shamelessly stripped as they lapped up his “Terry the Minder” routine.
But they have now spoken of their fears that the romps may have kindled his sick contempt for women – and set him on the road to become .
– brilliantly played by actor Daniel Mays in the ITV hit – lost his second bid for freedom last week after receiving two life sentences for his sex crimes.
A parole board ruled he must stay in prison as he “continues to represent a high risk of committing further serious sexual offences upon women”.
And a gran who came face-to-face with the naked predator at her daughter’s 21st birthday party told how she shared parole chiefs’ concerns yesterday.
The 79-year-old pensioner’s voice cracked with emotion as she cast her mind back 36 years to the “sexy surprise” laid on for her daughter at the Lord Clyde pub in Aldershot.
Josie – who has asked The Sun not to divulge full family details – said “Terry the Minder” was booked as a joke for her daughter Joanne, who died of diabetes-related illness 13 years later.
The gran said: “It was meant to be a bit of harmless fun – when he turned up ‘Terry’ was friendly enough but said his real name was John.
“My other daughter had booked him and pointed out Joanne, who was having a drink at the bar. She had no idea what was about to happen.
“He had obviously done it many times before and went into a set routine where he tapped her on the shoulder and said: ‘Hello Joanne. Remember me? We used to meet behind the bike sheds at school.’
“Joanne had no idea who he was and looked confused, then he suddenly started taking his clothes off to the theme from the old Minder TV show, and the whole place erupted.
“She was mortified and didn’t know where to look as he started cavorting around, tossing his clothes into the crowd.
“I remember him really enjoying himself as he did it – more than the women watching – and feeling there was something not right about him.
“When all his clothes were off, he seemed to revel in showing himself off, waggling his willy at women to make them laugh and scream.

Josie, 79, said ‘Terry the Minder’ was booked as a ‘sexy surprise’ for her daughter’s birthday at the Lord Clyde pub in Aldershot
“He also rubbed himself against some of the girls and got very close to them, and it makes me sick to look back at that night knowing what he became.
“At one point, he had poor Joanne bent over doing suggestive things, and his act must have lasted 45 minutes.
“We thought it was a laugh at the time – but that was September 1990 and times have changed a lot since then.
“And we’re not laughing now.”

Retired doctor’s receptionist Josie said watching Daniel Mays’ creepy portrayal of in Believe Me shocked her to the core.
She told The Sun: “Having seen what he did to so many women, it makes my flesh crawl to think he got so close and intimate with my family and friends.
“Even then I thought there was something sleazy and unpleasant about him – as though he was enjoying shocking us a bit too much.
“It made me think that his days as a stripper might have made him think he could get away with abusing women – and might have convinced himself they enjoyed it.
“I’m glad he has been refused parole again – he should never walk free.”
Worboys, now 68, began his taxi rape spree in 2003, more than a decade after the Aldershot strip show.
But he had carved out a between 1987 and 2000 in pubs, clubs and function rooms across the south of England.

Another family told The Sun of their horror after discovering a strippergram hired for another birthday bash was Worboys.
Care worker Ann O’Callaghan said the pervert even stayed on for an extra hour tucking into food with his privates still on show after his x-rated performance had finished.
He gyrated naked at 50th birthday for a woman as unsuspecting pals cheered with laughter.
Ann paid around £80 for a male stripper as a cheeky surprise for her sister’s 50th birthday in 1994.
The future rapist blindfolded the embarrassed birthday girl before and stripped naked inches from her face during a raunchy “Officer and a Gentleman” routine.
Years later, stunned Ann recognised the stripper as none other than serial sex fiend Worboys – as .
Ann, 66, from Hoddeston, Herts said: “He’s an evil charmer and deserves to stay exactly where he is for a very long time.
“I saw his picture on TV after the news broke about him getting released and recognised him instantly.
“I looked him up online and saw he used to do strippergrams under the name ‘Terry the Minder’ and that was the clincher because the chap who came to my house called himself Terry.
“I dug out pictures from the party and there’s no question it’s him.
“He seemed such a nice guy but it’s only now I realise it was all an act and I can see how his victims fell for it. It’s awful to think someone like that darkened our door.”
Worboys was booked for the evening bash in front of male and female guests at Ann’s home in October 1994.

His full-frontal strip went down a storm and he was invited to stay and enjoy cocktail sausages and the hot food buffet with the family.
But revellers were left open-mouthed as he accepted their hospitality for more than an hour without putting his trousers and underpants back on after his performance.
Ann said: “I was surprised when he didn’t put his pants back on.
“He stood there for more than an hour chatting while sampling the buffet and drinks with only his white Richard Gere tunic on and his willy on show.
“But it was a very boozy party and no one seemed to care – least of all him.”
Ann’s daughter Faye, who was also at the family party, said: “I remember him giving it the full Richard Gere Officer and Gentleman routine.
“Everyone was screaming with laughter – he was very good at it.
“But it’s shocking now to think we let someone so dangerous get so close to us.”
The hit ITV drama showed Worboys to drug women passengers.
He waved wads of banknotes while claiming to have had a big casino win and pleaded with them to toast his success – then raped or abused them after they blacked out.
He was first jailed in 2009 for 19 sexual offences against a sample group of 12 women across London throughout the noughties.
But fury erupted in 2017, when a Parole Board panel decided he was ready for release – even though the true toll of his victims was at least 105.
A legal challenge by two of his victims dramatised in the ITV show successfully overturned the decision and he was given two life terms in 2019 for four additional attacks.
Worboys, now known as John Radford, “accepts that he does not currently meet the test for release”, according to a decision published on Thursday.
His scores of victims – , 38 – have campaigned against him being freed.
Carrie said following his latest parole hearing: “It has been a hugely anxious wait knowing that Worboys was up for parole again.
“The relief I feel knowing that he will remain behind bars is hard to put into words.
“Women and girls across Britain are safer as a result of this decision.”
