Is Randy Orton going to be in a match at WrestleMania 41?

Published on April 18, 2025 at 10:57 PM

RANDY Orton may miss WrestleMania 41 after his original opponent was forced to pull out of their match.

Kevin Owens and Randy Orton had been feuding on and off since October 2024, when Owens viciously attacked Orton in a car park after Smackdown.

The pair were set to clash at Crown Jewel, however a brawl between the two meant the match never got underway, and the feud was still going.

On the Smackdown following Crown Jewel, Owens delivered a piledriver to Orton, with the Viper suffering an injury and missing months of his career.

However, the Legend Killer made his HUGE return after Owens beat Sami Zayn at WWE Elimination Chamber, setting up a match between the pair at WrestleMania.

However, with Owens now suffering a legitimate neck injury that requires surgery, his wrestling future is in doubt, so he will obviously not appear at WrestleMania 41.

In the aftermath of Owens announcing his injury, Orton RKO'd Nick Aldis, potentially teasing a match between the pair.

SunSport can reveal if Randy Orton does have a match at WrestleMania 41.

Does Randy Orton have a match at WrestleMania 41?

“The Viper” Randy Orton does not currently have a match scheduled for WrestleMania 41.

He returned at Elimination Chamber to take out Kevin Owens, and was set to take on Owens at WrestleMania 41.

However, the Canadian native Owens will miss not only WrestleMania 41, but over a year of his career with a neck injury, with questions over whether he will return at all being asked recently.

There is, however, a possibility that Orton is given a last minute match on Smackdown this Friday, with many names rumoured.

Owens lifelong friend Sami Zayn does not currently have a spot on the card, and Smackdown general manager Nick Aldis was known for his in-ring ability prior to arriving at WWE, so either could step in.

Aleister Black and Rusev have reportedly re-signed with WWE from rival company AEW, and could step in as surprise opponents for Orton in Las Vegas.

Another name being thrown around is Solo Sikoa, as the pair have a history in WWE, with Sikoa side-lining Orton for 18 months
