British Racing in Turmoil: Over 40 Horses Withdrawn from Races for a Common Cause

BRITISH racing has been decimated on Sunday – with more than 40 horses being pulled from races all for the same reason.

Finally, after a summer of drought, the rain fell yesterday and it has caused mayhem among the non-runner lists today.

Just after 11am, some 42 horses had been scrubbed from meetings at Goodwood, Beverley and Yarmouth.

Every single one of the horses was pulled because of the going.

At Yarmouth it is soft, good to soft in places, at Beverley it is heavy and at Goodwood it is soft.
