Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said they know the real reason Ben White left England’s squad in Qatar to fly back home.
White left for “personal reasons”, but reports claimed the defender had a row with the Three Lions’ assistant manager Steve Holland, and left afterwards.
He, however, featured in Arsenal’s 2-1 mid-season friendly win over AC Milan in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
Speaking after the victory, Arteta said he was “very pleased” with White after his return to the club.
He added: “Everybody has been giving him a lot of support and love.
“We know the reasons he had to leave and it’s good to have him in good shape.”
England were eventually eliminated by France in the quarter-finals, losing 2-1 to the holders.
