Club World Cup 2025: Three teams qualify for semi-finals

Published on July 05, 2025 at 06:56 PM

Three teams have now qualified for the semi-finals of the 2025 Club World Cup.

Paris Saint-Germain became the latest side to progress to the final four, following a 2–0 victory over Bayern Munich on Saturday.

The Champions League winners found a way to claim victory despite finishing the match with nine men.

Desire Doué opened the scoring in what was a tightly contested affair, with a left-footed drive from outside the box that wrong-footed Manuel Neuer.

Despite Pacho and Lucas Hernandez receiving straight red cards, PSG held on and even added a second goal through Ousmane Dembélé.

They will now face the winner of the Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund quarter-final tie.

The other semi-final will see Chelsea take on Fluminense.
