AC Milan striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has predicted Lionel Messi-led Argentina to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ibrahimovic believes “it’s already written” that Messi will finally win his first FIFA World Cup in his glittering career so far.
Argentina will face Croatia in the semi-final on Tuesday, which will see Messi, 35, trying to reach the second final of his career in the tournament.
Recall that Messi came close to winning the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil as they lost 1-0 to Germany in the final.
With the likes of Brazil, Spain, Germany and Portugal all knocked out in Qatar, Argentina looks like the favourites to win the World Cup for the first time since 1986.
However, Ibrahimovic, who continues to rehabilitate his knee while joining his AC Milan teammates for a winter training camp in Dubai, told reporters on Monday, “I think it is already written who will win, and you know who I mean.
“I think Messi will lift the trophy, it is already written.”
