Cameroon Football Federation president, Samuel Eto’o, has reacted to Morocco’s 2022 FIFA World Cup 1-0 victory over Portugal on Saturday evening.
Eto’o, whose country has since been eliminated from the World Cup, described Morocco’s win over Portugal as ‘incredible’.
The former Chelsea and Barcelona star also said that the whole of Africa would be supporting Morocco to win the World Cup in Qatar this year.
Reacting, Eto’o, in a tweet via his Twitter handle, said, “Incredible! Morocco is the first ever African country to make it to the semifinals.
“The entire continent is rooting for you.”
Morocco’s victory over Portugal means it is the first time an African nation will reach the semifinal of the World Cup in the competition’s history.
