BURNT out from trying to make ends meet, Vincia White was desperately searching for ways to make some extra money.

At the time, Vincia was working as a receptionist at the NHS earning less than £2,000 a month.

Fast-forward to 2025 and the 24-year-old mother-of-one, from London , is raking in an eye-watering £7,000 monthly on a job a lot of people look down on.

”I was looking for ways to make some extra coins on the side,” Vincia said in an exclusive interview with F abulou s.

Prior to her breakthrough, the mum-of-one was renting an apartment and relying on food banks to help her get through the month.

”It was long hours, the pay barely covered my rent, and I felt constantly drained.

”I was juggling bills , commuting, and never had the energy to actually enjoy my life.

”That was the moment I realised I needed to find a way to have both money and freedom .”

After scrolling on social media, she discovered the world of sugaring .

In these types of relationships, the younger woman typically receives financial support, gifts,  holidays  and other perks in exchange for companionship and affection.

It can be controversial, partly because sometimes sex becomes involved, but Vincia has never actually met any of the men paying her bills.

The main motivator for sugar babies entering these arrangements is money, while sugar daddies are seeking a ‘partner’ who is out of their league in conventional dating scenarios, a 2024 study found.

Those who proudly share their experiences online are branded as “ gold diggers ” and “desperate”, but silence the criticism with their financial gains.

After just over a year of being on the site, the mum-of-one has never had any face-to-face dates in real life.

She told The Sun : ”Every time I tell people that, it just blows their mind.

”The platform is full of guys who don’t want to meet with you in person – they just want to spend time with you on the phone, they want to video call you.”

That’s all part of the game – making them feel special and included

As of now, Vincia has two sugar daddies – aged 33 and in his early 50s – although at one point, she was juggling six, which, she said, became too difficult to manage.

”Like if one of them pays for a holiday, I’ll send him cute photos or little videos from the trip so he feels like he’s part of the experience.

”That’s all part of the game – making them feel special and included.”

One of the biggest surprises that the young Londoner has been treated to is a recent all-expenses-paid family holiday in Cyprus

The men just wanted Vincia’s ”attention” and were willing to treat her to lavish gifts, including a brand new MacBook when her old one ”was getting too slow”.

”My hair and nails are paid for regularly, along with flights , hotels, and entire holidays covered without me having to ask twice.

”Then there’s the beauty side of things – dresses, bags, skincare , makeup , spa days, the works.

”But to be honest, the money is the most important thing to me.

”These are all gifts in addition, I would never use gifts as a replacement for the allowance.”

What is a sugar daddy and how does the relationship work?

A sugar daddy is a generous older man who spends lavishly on his mistress, girlfriend or boyfriend.

He’s often a businessman, who considers himself too busy for conventional dating – and isn’t short of a few bob.

A sugar baby, meanwhile, is normally an attractive younger woman who can’t afford her luxury lifestyle.

The couple will usually establish a financial agreement early on – as well as their boundaries, such as whether or not they’re considering a sexual relationship.

Some sugar babies ask for a monthly allowance, while other get ‘expenses’ in the form of glam holidays and shopping sprees.

While a growing number of sugar babies are university students, who turn to their ‘daddy’ to pay their fees.

When Vincia first started sugaring as a side hustle, she only told a friend and one of her cousins.

Being a sugar baby often comes with a lot of stigma, as the glamorous lifestyle tends is associated with ‘soft prostitution ‘, but Vincia insists her lifestyle isn’t like that.

”When the money started coming in, I thought, what’s there to be ashamed of?” she says.

”I’m covering all the household bills, buying my mum designer gifts, and making sure my family’s looked after.

”I’ve got more time to spend at home, and my goal is to retire my mum.

”I’m proud of the fact I can do that at 24 – most people my age are still struggling just to get by.”

I thought, what’s there to be ashamed of?

One of the biggest surprises that the young Londoner was treated to was a recent all-expenses-paid family holiday in Cyprus .

It was then when Vincia finally broke the news to her mum, who was totally unaware of how her daughter was making all this money.

”At first, she reacted really badly, she was like, ‘Don’t do that’.

”But after she saw all the money coming in, she was fine – because my mum, she loves money.

”I was struggling before… so I went from that to being OK and I feel like she felt better knowing that I’m doing better.”

The mum-of-one is using some of the allowance to kickstart her own business

It’s not just splashing out on designer gear that Vincia spends her allowance on – the 24-year-old is also in the works of creating her very own business , thanks to the thousands she’s making every month.

”A lot of my sugar daddies are married, and those conversations opened my eyes to how slow, expensive, and outdated divorce can be,” she says.

”I’m working on an AI-powered divorce law platform to help people navigate the process faster and more affordably.

”Training an AI is expensive, so it’s nice to be able to test ideas with other people’s money.

” Sugaring hasn’t jaded me to romance. I still believe in love, I just think people should have a better way out if it doesn’t work.”

As for her future romance , Vincia is adamant she’ll still be a sugar baby even if she meets someone organically.

”Unless I’m married to the person, I will still do it on the side.

”If I know the relationship is becoming very serious, I’d open up and tell them, ‘This is what I do’, hoping they’d be fine with it.

”But for now, I can say I’m happy where I’m at.”
