Private jet skids off airport runway and splashes down in river as nightmare landing sends passengers to hospital

FIVE people are in hospital after a private plane skidded off a runway and crashed into water – ending up 100ft away.
The small aircraft veered off the tarmac at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North Bend, Oregon, on Monday morning.

All commercial air traffic has been suspended from the airport's main runway whilst the investigation happensAccording to the airport, the plane with five on board came off Runway 23 and into Coos Bay just after 6am.
The four passengers and one crew member were all rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital.
Officials say their conditions are unknown.
