Prime Minister Modi reacts as Air India flight carrying 242 passengers to UK crashes

The Indian Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has expressed sadness over the plane crash in Ahmedabad.

DAILY POST reports that an Air India Limited Boeing Co. 787 aircraft travelling from Ahmedabad to London’s Gatwick Airport.

The Flight 171 crashed shortly after takeoff as police sources reports that the flight was carrying about 242 passengers and crew.

More analysis of the incident revealed that the plane had reached an altitude of about 625 feet at a speed of 174 kilometres per second as videos also showed black smoke billowing from afar.

Reacting to the sad incident, Modi, in a tweet on his X account, sympathized with everyone affected and vowed to assist those affected.

“The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us.

“It is heartbreaking beyond words,”; Modi tweeted.

The Prime Minister also revealed that he has been in touch with Indian authorities, including Ministers who he said are working to assist those affected.
