President Federation Cup: Heartland Queens coach laments non-registration of players

Published on May 04, 2025 at 02:26 PM

Heartland Queens head coach, Obi Ogbala says that the Imo State Football Association, (IMFA), should be held responsible if the side fails to win the 2025 President Federation Cup.

Ogbala said that the Imo FA has failed to clear majority of his players for the competition.

Heartland Queens thrashed Onimarg FC 5-0 in Benin City to progress to the last eight of the competition.

“The Federation Cup is here and we intend to make a statement in that tournament considering our improved form and the intention is to go all out and win the trophy because that is what is left for us this season,”; Ogbala told Heartland Queens media.

“But let me remind you all that if I fail to bring back the Federation Cup, hold our FA responsible.

“I was shortchanged through my players. I don’t have a full squad, licenses were not given to all my players, out of 35 players we registered, we only had 16 so I’m using 16 players to execute the Federation Cup.

“We will try our best, that is the assurrance I am giving to Imolites.”;
