And it is good news for Gunners fans.

Arsenal edged to a .

That saw Mikel Arteta’s side reclaim top spot in the Prem after falling behind on goals scored on Wednesday.

And will have the chance to extend their lead to six points before City play again – because Pep Guardiola’s side are not in league action this weekend.

Instead, they headed to Wembley where they came from behind to beat Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final.

to ensure City will play in a record fourth straight final on May 16.

But that also means their penultimate Prem fixture against Bournemouth will be rearranged.

And the Opta numbers predict City will slip up in the title run-in.

The figures show Arsenal are expected to finish on 82 points, whereas City will be on 79 – effectively losing one crucial match in the shootout run-in.

That gives Arsenal a 72.4 per cent chance of winning the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

But City, who closed the gap to take pole position after 200 days of Arsenal on top with their win at Burnley in midweek, have just a 27.6 per cent chance.

Arsenal are currently on 73 points with four games to go – meaning their maximum tally is 85.

City’s possible total is the same, as they sit on 70 points but have five matches left.

So Opta predict Arsenal will manage three wins and a defeat from their last four while City will win three but lose two.

Arsenal fans can take even more of a boost at the bottom end of the table, which sees rivals Tottenham join already-relegated Burnley and Wolves in the Championship next term.

Spurs are tipped to finish on 39 points, one shy of West Ham.

Manchester United (66), Aston Villa (64) and Liverpool (64) get into the Champions League.

But Brighton (56), Bournemouth (55) and Brentford (54) all finish above Chelsea (54) in ninth.
