Located near to seafront, building work has now been completed with a “topping out” ceremony taking place this week.

The budget hotel is set to open its doors to customers in early 2028.

The new hotel, which will trade as Brighton City Centre (Seafront), will feature the chain’s latest bedroom designs.

In addition to enhanced Premier Plus rooms, guests can enjoy a ground-floor restaurant.

The six-storey development will also include a reception area and landscaped roof areas.

Once opened, the new hotel will be the second Premier Inn in Brighton.

Simon Lancaster, Whitbread’s head of construction for London and the South, told The Argus : “It is always a proud moment topping out a new Premier Inn hotel, and it is especially significant at a location as prominent as West Street in Brighton.

“Completing the frame brings us another step closer to delivering a flagship new Premier Inn for the city, and I would like to thank everyone involved for their dedication, expertise and hard work in reaching this stage.”

The development forms part of Whitbread’s strategy to expand Premier Inn hotels in high-demand city-centre locations.
