The girl was in a play area when she was followed by Kieran along Woodleigh Avenue.

The creep then grabbed the girl and dragged her into a nearby alleyway.

He put his hand over her mouth and told her not to scream before slamming her to the ground.

This triggered a security light to come on which showed him standing over the girl for a few moments before running away.

Thankfully the victim was unharmed and was able to get to a friend’s house where the cops were called.

After investigating the circumstances, a manhunt to find Kieran was launched and the sicko was arrested the next day.

Footage of Kieran’s arrest shows an officer running after him in the street shouting at him to “stop”.

Kieran is then tackled to the ground and placed in handcuffs while he acts confused and repeatedly asks officers “what have I done?”.

In , Kieran admitted to kidnapping, assault with intent to commit a sexual offence, failing to comply with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), and supplying false information in relation to a SHPO.

On October 1, Kieran was sentenced to 13 years and six months in jail and will serve at least two-thirds of the sentence in .

The vile lag is also subject to a four-year extended licence, meaning he will be closely monitored when he is released.

Detective chief inspector Greg Wood, who led the , said: “This young girl was followed by Mansfield for some time, and I can only imagine the unease this will have caused her before he launched his attack upon her.

“His actions were cold, calculated and predatory.

“However, the court has handed him a significant sentence and, although this in no way can undo his action, I hope it gives the victim and her family some comfort knowing that he will be in jail for a significant period of time.”
