Police have obtained warrants for the extended detention of several suspects arrested in connection with a terror attack on a synagogue.
The incident outside Heaton Park synagogue occurred on Thursday, which is the holiest day of the Jewish calendar – Yom Kippur.


Two victims, aged 66 and 53, lost their lives before Jihad Al-Shamie was shot dead by armed police.
Six individuals have been arrested on terrorism charges following the incident.
Authorities have confirmed they received custody extensions to detain four individuals arrested in relation to the attack on the Crumpsall synagogue for an additional five days.
A 30-year-old man, a 61-year-old woman, and a 32-year-old man, all taken into custody in Prestwich, along with a 46-year-old woman arrested in Farnworth, may be held for "up to a further five days."
Additionally, an 18-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man, arrested in Farnworth, remain in custody for further questioning.
Greater Manchester Police stated: "We have been granted warrants for the further detention of four individuals currently in custody.
“This allows them to remain in custody for up to five additional days.
“All individuals in custody have been arrested on suspicion of committing, preparing, and instigating acts of terrorism.”

Syrian-born al-Shamie was shot dead by armed police just seven minutes after he began his rampage.
The 35-year-old jihadist was on police bail following an alleged sexual assault earlier this year.
He initially drove into worshippers at the Heaton Park synagogue at 9:30 AM yesterday.
He also stabbed terrified members of the public while wearing a fake "bomb vest," resulting in the deaths of Melvin Cravitz, 66, and Adrian Daulby, 53.
Four others sustained injuries during the tragic incident.
