Gombe State Police Command has debunked the information alleging that the house of Mr. Nafiu Bala, a factional leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) was set ablaze in Gombe State.
DAILY POST gathers that the rumour began around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, driven by posts including fire footage that was allegedly said to be Bala’s property.
Clarifying the reports via a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, he described the report as false.
It said, “The Command confirms that the report is false, as no such incident has been recorded anywhere in the State.”
The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Ahmed Chuso further urged members of the public to disregard the misinformation.
It said the command remained committed to ensuring peace and security across Gombe State.
