Operatives from the Benue Police Command have apprehended a suspected notorious armed bandit believed to be responsible for numerous attacks on security personnel in the state.
As reported by security expert Makama Zagazola, the suspect, named Yongu Justine Makwagh from Kadarko in Nasarawa State, was arrested on Friday around 8:00 PM at Balcony Park in Makurdi after months of thorough surveillance.
The operation was led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Daudu, with assistance from operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) on special duty.

“The suspect was previously linked to the murders of two Safer Highway Police personnel at Yelwata and two operatives of the Department of Operations (DOPS) in Daudu, during which firearms were stolen,” the source revealed.
