Foden later went on to become a key player for City under Guardiola after exploding in the coming seasons.

He has a total of 372 appearances for the Cityzens, scoring 110 goals.

His best season in a City shirt came in the 2023-24 season, which saw him score 27 goals in 53 appearances.

Foden has struggled to replicate that form in recent years and lost his place in the team under Guardiola last term.

That cost him a spot in ‘s England squad for the 2026 World Cup.

But he appears to be back in favour since replaced Guardiola at the helm.

Foden has started both of City’s opening league games and provided two assists in their 4-1 win over last time out.
