Activist and convener of the Free Nigeria Movement, Moses Paul, has criticized Senator Godswill Akpabio following his recent attack on Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
Paul stated that Akpabio should be the last person to lecture anyone on leadership, especially Mr. Peter Obi, whose name has become synonymous with hope across Nigeria.
Speaking on the floor of the Senate, “When somebody makes a statement that the Labour of our heroes past are in vain, I beg to disagree. Let our brother, Peter Obi, show leadership like Edwin Clark did by resolving first the crisis in the Labour Party.”;
In response, Moses Paul called out Akpabio for his political hypocrisy, urging him to reflect on the betrayals and backdoor deals that have marked his own political climb before casting aspersions on others.
“Enough of the political hypocrisy! Akpabio should be the last man to lecture anyone on leadership,”; Paul said.
Paul also added that no amount of orchestrated chaos within the Labour Party could erase the will of the Nigerian people.
“You can bribe the loudest voices, manipulate the weakest links, and sponsor division, but you cannot bury a movement whose roots are in the hearts of millions,”; he added.
Defending Mr. Peter Obi, Paul stated that Obi does not need to fight for relevance because he already embodies it. “If the plan is to distract him from national conversations, it has failed woefully,”; Paul said.
“We are watching. We are counting. And when the time comes, we will respond not with noise, but with votes, loud and clear,”; he asserted.
