A MUMMY blogger has sparked outrage after revealing her newborn daughter’s unique name.

Aubree Jones is no stranger to finding herself at the centre of criticism of her and husband Josh’s moniker choices for – as they’re already parents to daughters Trendy, Sunny, Zaylee, Truly and Journey.

Woman in a kitchen setting with text that reads "Baby #7 name reveal..."Mum Aubree took to TikTok to share her fifth daughter’s very unique name Newborn baby, Disney Mae Jones, swaddled in purple and surrounded by four Disney plush toys. She and husband Josh chose to call their baby girl Disney Mae Jones

So when they had to come up for their fifth baby girl, they once again opted for something out of the ordinary.

Sharing a video on TikTok of the baby wearing a pair of Minnie Mouse ears, Aubree wrote over the top: “Welcome to the world… Disney Mae Jones!”

“We’re so excited to welcome this sweet little baby into our home,” she added in the caption.

“We’re all smitten and so in love. It’s been truly magical having her.

“Here’s to our family’s happily ever after!”

But people in the comments section didn’t hold back as they took aim at Aubree over the name.

“Are you kidding me!! Why!!” one wrote.

“When she gets older she is definitely changing her name so enjoy it while she has it,” another added.

“My son has an ‘Ocean’ in his class,” a third commented.

“I asked ‘like Atlantic??’ Some of y’all need to adopt pets instead of having kids!”

“Wait… yall do remember you are naming adults right?” someone else said.

With another adding: “I think every child given such a ridiculous name should sue their parents for all the emotional damage and embarrassment they will inevitably endure.

“Australia has name rules and it really should be something they put in place everywhere.”

However, others hit back, insisting Aubree and Josh have the right to name their children whatever they want.

“Disney is a beautiful name!” one wrote.

“As a peds nurse this is not the first time I have seen a child named Disney.”

Are Unique Baby Names Worth The Hassle?

YOU may think having a unique name helps you to stand out, but is it all it's cracked up to be?

Fabulous’ Deputy Editor reveals the turmoil she faced with her own name while growing up.

When I was a child, all I wanted was one of those personalised keyrings with my name on it.

But no joy, the closest I could find was Rosie, Joseph (not great for a little girl) and Joanne.

Josie is short for Josephine, which is a French name, and I managed to reach my 20s without ever meeting anyone who shared it.

When I try to introduce myself to people, I get all sorts of random things – like Tracey and Stacey – which can be pretty annoying.

Although I have come into contact with a couple of Josies over the last year – there seems to be a few of us around my age – it’s still a much rarer name than most of my friends have.

On the whole I don’t mind it, at least it’s not rude or crazily spelt.

And it means I can get away with ‘doing a Cheryl’ and just referring to myself as Josie.

I’m getting married this year and some friends are shocked that I’m changing my surname, as it’s not seen as very cool or feminist to do so these days, but I explain to them that I’m not that attached to Griffiths as I’d always just say ‘hi it’s Josie’ when ringing a mate up.

I think it’s nice to be unique and I’ll definitely try and replicate this when naming my own kids.

It’s the rude names you’ve got to watch out for, so after nine years as a lifestyle journalist I’ll definitely be avoiding those.

“I think Disney is lovely for a wee girl,” another commented.

“Congratulations – welcome Disney!”

“What is wrong with people?” a third asked. “If the family chooses Disney and love it so be it.

“Grow up people… congratulations and welcome young lady!”

And weighing in on the mixed reaction the name had received, Aubree added : “Our kids have never once had anyone make fun of their names or bully them… except here on

“The kids all love their unique names.

“This new baby will fit right in with hers…”
