It is worth noting that Osimhen's first-half penalty secured a 1-0 victory for the Turkish Süper Lig champions over Liverpool at Rams Park.
Prior to the match, Osimhen had suffered an ankle ligament injury during a World Cup qualifier against Rwanda while representing the Super Eagles of Nigeria a few weeks ago.
“Victor Osimhen played the match against Liverpool with painkiller injections,” Rodop was quoted by Habersarikirmizi as stating.
“The day before the match, he expressed, ‘I need to play in this game; I will do so with injections if necessary.’
