A member of the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tolu Bankole, has said opposition parties in the country are not adequately prepared for the 2027 general elections.
According to him, “The ruling party had already outperformed its rivals through effective governance and strategic political moves in every part of the country.”
Bankole, who serves as the APC National Leader for Persons with Disabilities, made the remarks in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday. He praised the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the ruling party was gaining momentum ahead of other political parties as the next electoral cycle approaches.
He noted that opposition parties were currently grappling with internal crises and lacked the unity and policy alternatives required to effectively challenge the ruling party in the next general elections.
He explained that the facts are undeniable and the evidence is overwhelming, pointing out that “the opposition is not just struggling, it is in complete disarray and an existential crisis, as well as woefully unprepared, hopelessly divided, and intellectually bankrupt as we approach the 2027 general elections.”
Bankole added that the APC, under the leadership of President Tinubu, had outperformed its rivals both politically and in governance.
The APC chieftain further stated that the administration was stabilising the economy, attracting investment, improving infrastructure and addressing security challenges across the country.
He said the APC, under what he described as the visionary, decisive and transformative leadership of President Tinubu, had not only outmanoeuvred the opposition but had comprehensively overwhelmed and defeated them on every front.
