OISIN MUPRHY is OFF Constitution Hill and has been replaced by Rossa Ryan for his big run in Milan this weekend.
Nicky Henderson’s Champion Hurdler will face the likes of William Haggas’ globetrotter Dubai Honour in Sunday’s 1m4f Premio del Jockey Club.
Former champion jockey Murphy was all set to get the leg up on Constitution Hill in the Group 2.
The duo were together when the nine-year-old ex-Supreme winner lifted the Southwell crowd off their feet with his Flat debut.
And .
But that has now changed with Murphy having commitments in France and Ryan, who used to be No1 for Amo Racing, the new man in the hotseat.
He said he was recently in Milan and received a call from Henderson asking if he’d like the ride.
Speaking at Yarmouth recently, Arc de Triomphe-winning rider Ryan said: “It’s a bit of a mad one.
“I was in Milan last weekend and Nicky rang me to see what the ground was like yesterday (Monday) morning, then he rang me back yesterday evening to see if I could ride him, so it’s a great opportunity.
“I literally got the phone call last night so I’ve never ridden him.
“He’s popular for sure. San Siro is just like this (Yarmouth) – it’s just the other way around – and I was reading between Wednesday and Thursday they are due 52mm of rain, so it will be proper soft ground.
“It looks a good race on paper and he’ll have a chance.
“I was speaking to Oisin and he said the softer the ground the better, so we’ll see.”
