Ogun Area II Customs command gets new Comptroller

Olusola Akingbade on Friday resumed as the Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Ogun II Area Command.

DAILY POST reports that Akingbade was redeployed to Ogun ll Area Command to take over the mantle of leadership from Comptroller Bisi Alade rtd.

Until her redeployment, Akingbade was Controller in charge of Budget at Customs Headquarters, Abuja.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony held at the command’s headquarters in Abeokuta, Alade congratulated the new Area Controller and wished her a successful tenure in office.

He urged officers to redouble their efforts and give the new administration maximum support and cooperation to sustain the performance tempo of the Command.

“May I call on officers to redouble their efforts and give the incoming administration maximum support and cooperation to sustain the performance tempo of the Command.

“In a similar vein, I wish to solicit the unflinching support of our critical stakeholders for the new Area Controller,” he said.

Responding, Akingbade thanked the Controller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale, for considering her worthy and pledged to discharge her duties diligently, and uphold the policy thrust of the CGC.

She praised her predecessor as an articulate and goal-oriented leader and complimented him on his excellent tour of service with commendable accomplishments, pledging to maintain the accomplishments recorded by the Command.

Akingbade also promised to ensure significant increase in revenue collection and facilitate legitimate trades within the Command’s Area of Responsibility (AoR).

“I am a team player, I seek total cooperation of all stakeholders to succeed. We must work together and Nigeria must move forward,” she stated.
