The President of the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP), Fegalo Nsuke, states that there is significant support among the Ogoni people for the resumption of oil activities on Ogoni land.

Nsuke made this statement on Sunday during an interview on Arise Television, which was monitored by DAILY POST.

DAILY POST recalls that the Federal Government recently sent a delegation to Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers regarding the resumption of oil exploration in Ogoniland.

“We have clearly expressed our desire for oil production to restart. The primary concern is ensuring that there are mutual benefits.

“What is most important to us is the development of Ogoni land, which cannot be achieved without adequate funding.

“This matter is currently under discussion. Therefore, I can confidently say that we are on the right track, and it will happen,” he stated.
