Obidients shut down my Facebook page when I exposed Peter Obi – Reno Omokri

Social media influencer and public commentator, Reno Omokri on Friday revealed that his Facebook page was temporarily shut down following complaints from supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi.

Reno in a video on Facebook claimed that the page was brought down after Obi’s supporters widely known as Obidients accused him of lying against the politician.

He said the development followed a recent exposure of alleged lies by the former Anambra governor over stability of power in Tanzania.

Reno said, “Obidients reported my Facebook page that I was telling lies against Peter Obi when I exposed his lies about Tanzania.

“I was able to prove that what I said was true and my page has been given back to me. What Peter Obi said about Nigeria and Tanzania is completely false.

“He said that Tanzania has met its power needs and they had to shut down their dams and that he was in pain because Nigeria ought to have been bigger than Tanzania. He is lying.”;;

Omokri, who has been vocal in his support for President Bola Tinubu since the 2023 presidential election, is a major critic of Peter Obi.

He had vowed that the former governor will never emerge President in Nigeria, leading to a face-off between him and the Obidients.
