The National Youth Service Corps, has informed prospective Corps members that the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course will commence soon in the 37 NYSC Orientation Camps nationwide.
The NYSC, in a statement signed by Caroline Embu, Acting Director, Information and Public Relations, enjoined prospective Corps members, parents and guardians to continually monitor NYSC Official Social Media channels for updates on the forthcoming exercise, including the commencement date, which will be made public in due course.
Meanwhile, DAILY POST reported recently that the NYSC expressed concerns over the high rate of corps members posted to Edo State relocating to other states.
The Edo state Coordinator, Mrs Frances Ben-Ushie, expressed the concern during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream I corps members.
Ben-Ushie attributed the high rate of relocation of corps members from the state to a lack of feeding augmentation during the orientation course as well as non-payment of state allowance to serving corps members.
According to her, lack of feeding augmentation during the orientation course, as well as non-payment of State allowance to serving corps members, has resulted in massive relocation of corps members to other states.
