The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has appointed Kubiangha Ekeng Ita as the new State Coordinator for Osun State.

Kubiangha, who is the 16th State Coordinator, takes over from Agbor Ndoma Obim.

During a ceremony at the State Secretariat in Osogbo on Friday, Agbor Ndoma Obim officially handed over to Kubiangha Ekeng Ita.

In his farewell speech, Agbor described his time in office as fulfilling and credited the accomplishments achieved to teamwork, shared responsibility, and commitment to the agency's ideals.

“I urge you to maintain professionalism, integrity, and cooperation, and I also ask for your full support for the new coordinator to ensure the continued growth of the Scheme in Osun State,” he stated.

Ita, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to God for his appointment and praised the outgoing administration for its contributions to the progress of the NYSC in the state.

He urged officers to perform their duties with diligence, honesty, and commitment, emphasizing that service in the Scheme should be regarded as service to God.

He referred to Osun State as “a beacon within the NYSC family, being the birthplace of the Director-General.”

“I encourage staff to uphold the esteemed reputation and accolades associated with the state. Honor is earned, not demanded. All department heads should lead by example,” he added.

The new state coordinator also emphasized the need for integrity, accountability, and professionalism while warning against extortion and any behavior that could damage the Scheme's reputation.

He assured staff seeking conversion or career advancement of his support, while highlighting the importance of mentoring subordinates, delegating responsibilities, and collaborating effectively.
