NWFL: Bayelsa Queens crowned champions for sixth time

Bayelsa Queens won the Nigeria Women Premier Football League, NWFL, for the sixth time after a comprehensive 4-1 win over Naija Ratels on Saturday.

The Prosperity Girls last won the title in the 2021/22 season.

Vera Samuel bagged a hat-trick for Bayelsa Queens, with Mega Cynthia scoring the other goal.

Tumininu Adeshina netted Naija Ratels’ only goal of the game.

Bayelsa Queens top the NWFL Super 6 standings with 10 points from five points.

The Yenagoa club will compete in the WAFU B Women’s Champions League later this year.
