The management of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, says the fire incident that erupted on Sunday at its Sokoto Network centre has been contained.
This was disclosed in a statement by NTA through its official X handle on Sunday night.
According to NTA, the fire was put out by the joint efforts of staff and firefighters.
The update comes hours after the television station announced that a fire gutted parts of its operational building at the Sokoto Network Centre.
It stated that the fire may have been caused by high electricity voltage.
Meanwhile, the statement revealed that the inferno did not affect the station’s studio, equipment, or other sensitive operational areas.
