Human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has urged the newly appointed Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu to right the wrongs of his predecessor, Kayode Egbetokun.

DAILY POST reports that his position on Tuesday after years of battle over the legality of his service extension by President Bola Tinubu.

In a congratulatory message to the newly appointed IGP, Deji, who warned that there is no friend in the jungle, threatened that there will be a fight if he follows the wrong part.

He wrote, “Congratulations to my personal person. This is now an opportunity to right all the wrongs and evil the Nigerian police are known for.

“If you don’t do the right thing Egbon, there’s no friend in the jungle; we will start fighting. You have been presented with a rare opportunity to write your name on the sand of time.

“Reform the police, ensure human rights of citizens are respected and comply with the Presidential directive of Tinubu which Egbetokun didn’t fully comply with by withdrawing all police officers from VIPs so they can go protect the nation. Stop the culture of extortion of citizens.”
