NNL: Yobe Desert Stars, Doma United qualify for Super Eight playoffs

Yobe Desert Stars and Doma United have qualified for the Nigeria National League, NNL, Super Eight playoff tournament.

Yobe Desert Stars beat Basira FC 1-0 at the August 27 Stadium in Damaturu on Saturday.

Yobe Desert Stars top the Northern Conference D with 20 points, while Doma United are second with 19 points.

DAILY POST recalls that Doma United were relegated to the second-tier league last season.

Both teams will compete with the top two teams from the other three groups in the promotion playoff tournament.

The top four teams from the playoff competition will qualify to play in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) next season.

Meanwhile, Adamawa United have been relegated to the Nationwide League One after finishing at the bottom of the Conference D table.
