NNL: Wikki Tourists, Barau FC secure Super Eight playoff ticket

Wikki Tourists and Barau FC have secured qualification to the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight playoff tournament.

The Bauchi Elephants thrashed Zamfara United 4-1 at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi in their final match of the season.

Barau FC held Mighty Jets to a goalless draw in Jos.

Wikki Tourists finished top of the Northern Conference C with 23 points, while Barau FC are second with 19 points from 12 games respectively.

Abdullahi Maikaba’s side expressed gratitude to the club supporters for standing behind the team throughout the campaign.

“We are delighted to confirm our qualification for the 2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 Promotional Play-Offs after finishing top of the Northern Conference C with 23 points.

“Our victory over Zamfara United in the final home match sealed our position at the summit of the table,”;; Wikki Tourists stated after the game.

“We thank our fans, players, technical crew, and management for their unwavering support throughout the season.

‘We now shift our focus to the Super 8 as we continue our push for promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.”;;

Wikki Tourists, Barau FC, Yobe Desert Stars and Doma United are the only four teams that have qualified for the playoff competition.

The remaining four teams will be decided from the Southern Conference A and B.
